First Honorable Kill

Like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I’ve been playing a Death Knight on a PvP server with some friends, and although I’ve been taking it easy, my DK reached level 60 without too much trouble.

Despite the server tag, I haven’t seen much PvP action either and I don’t even want to count the cowardly way Alliance players on my server have been ganking us poor Hordies (woo!). I noticed that they would only attack a player if they were at least 10 levels higher or if they outnumbered him. No one remotely close to my level ever dared. Until last night.

I was out doing a quest, fighting some stupid Ganarg mobs on Hellfire Peninsula when I became aware of another mob attacking. My ghoul pet immediately pounced on him so I finished up on the mob I was fighting before switching to him. To my surprise, it wasn’t a Ganarg peon but a level 63 human warrior! Wow, he dared. I’m guessing he had never fought a Death Knight before or was thinking he had the advantage with me being otherwise engaged. In any case, my pet had him down to 50% health before I even started. That’s how I got my first honorable kill.

And now I know why some people are whining non-stop about Death Knights being overpowered. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get nerfed soon.
