My Sims DS: Guide to the Stars
I started this guide because I couldn’t find much info on the internet about My Sims DS so I thought my notes would help others get past their stuck points. I’ve tried to limit it to a summary as much as possible so as not to spoil the game for those who like surprises. If you are stuck on something and don’t quite know how to get past it, please DO NOT send me an email but post your question on this thread and I’m pretty sure others will gladly help you.
I’d like to thank those who have been really helpful to others in the past. Please continue to post your hints and tips… they are much appreciated! 
First Star
- Find Tim and convince him to return home
- Make a sad Tyler (the tailor) happy
- Make an angry Ewan (the cop) happy (spoiler: tears work)
- Plant flowers for Ashley (the florist)
STAR LEVEL 1: Your activities have helped clean up the town a bit and the Sims in town seem happier! Keep up the good work.
Second Star
- You have to find the first tourist and get him/her in a good mood. Some events won’t be triggered if you don’t do this.
- In the morning:
- Talk to Ashley (the florist) in her shop in the morning.
- Rescue Olivia from … herself.
- Talk to Joseph (the fisherman) and get him in the mood to introduce himself.
- Meet Sophie the furniture maker.
- If you still have time, talk to Tim until he gives you a racquetball racquet. Play at least one game of racquetball and then talk to Tim again. If you run out of time, you can do this in the afternoon, too.
- In the afternoon:
- Return to Ashley and start making leis.
- Return to Joseph and get him in the mood to remember your name.
- Talk to Ewan the cop and take a picture of the Symbol Tree for him.
- Visit Tyler the tailor at his shop.
- In the evening:
- Return to Joseph in the evening and get him in the mood to give you a fishing rod.
STAR LEVEL 2: A few stores have opened up and the town is picking up. The mayor is thinking of ways to improve the town’s transportation system.
Third Star
- Meet Charlie the baker. (If you buy 5 cakes from him, he will start passing along useful info about the other residents every time you buy something.)
- Meet Marie the highlands ranger and help her decorate the highlands.
- Play racquetball five times and Tim will introduce a new game (Target 1).
- Help Sophie name her store.
- Return to Marie the ranger in the morning and test drive her paraglider. NOTE: Looks like you don’t have a choice but to wait until the next morning to do this, so work on making money before then because you will need it after you get your third star.
STAR LEVEL 3: All the stores in the town are open for business and everyone is eager to work. Sims from the lively town on the outlying island are coming to the mayor’s town.
Fourth Star
- Meet Foster the forest ranger and help improve the forest area. You need to use all the five decoration options in order to get points here.
- Buy at least 5 pieces of furniture from Sophie to trigger her shop’s advancement.
- Meet Nicki the boat operator and take the boat to the Entertainment area.
- Meet Elizabeth and buy her pet house, if you have the money. Note that you don’t have to buy the house to get the points but hey, what self respecting Sim doesn’t want a mansion, especially if it’s a bargain?
- Help Marie the ranger improve the highlands area some more.
- Play the Target 1 racquetball game until Tim opens up the Target 2 game.
- Make 5 small leis and Ashley will ask you to start making regular leis.
- Make 5 regular leis and Ashley will ask you to start making large leis.
- Visit Sophie the next day and buy her new furniture. I believe the magic number is 5.
- Visit Sophie again the next day and she will ask you to make a design for your furniture.
STAR LEVEL 4: The boat can be taken to the Entertainment Area and more new places are opening up. The only place still closed is the mountain…
Fifth Star
- Meet Tracy the mountain ranger and dig up stuff for her around the cabin.
- Keep digging for ore until you get enough points to exchange for a statue head and body.
- Take the statue parts to the mayor.
- Return to Tracy the next day and test out the paraglider for her.
- On your way to Tracy’s, stop and talk to Foster. He will ask you to make animal feed and whether you do or not, you don’t get any points but you need to talk to him to trigger the next (Foster) event.
- On the next time segment, return to Foster and he will ask you to help him with the forest for the last time.
- Help Marie improve the highlands for the third and last time.
- If you still need more points, find ways to make money and buy that house from Elizabeth.
STAR LEVEL 5: All areas are now accessible and the town is almost fully developed. There are some sims interested in taking up a new sport!
At this point, you will stop earning stars. But there are still new areas to discover, new sims to meet, and events I haven’t even mentioned in this guide. If you need more help, just send me an email (trinity @ female-gamer.com) or leave a comment here.

Hello- I am very confused by some items that I bought at the casino- what do I do with the video game company table thing that I bought… and the japanese tv tower thing? Are they useless?

I haven’t gotten those but I believe all the casino items are just decoration pieces for your house. You can sell them to Olivia for money.. I bet the video game company thing will sell for quite a bit.

@ Alison: I haven’t finished playing it myself but I think this is the goal… If you open up that panel that shows all the characters in the game (hit X and then pick the people icon), you’ll see a bar next to their picture. When that bar fills up, you get a star next to it, which means that character’s story is over, you’re done with him/her. So the goal is to finish everyone’s story. So far, I’m only finished with the cop, Marie and Foster.

@Rhonda: those presents can’t be opened. you’re supposed to give them to the tourists to get them in a better mood before you even start talking to them. Also, the dog is an added level of difficulty - you have to avoid hitting him.
@Leah: The mountains are above the forest. Keep following the path past the ranger’s cabin.
@Richred1000: Sorry I only have the first fishing rod. Can YOU tell me how to get the second one?

You have to keep fishing and eventually get more rods…but I got an “amusing fishing rod” and am not quite sure what to do with it!!!

Ok going to try and answer everything in one post.
@Leah: Not sure about pets. I think if you keep feeding the animals in the forest, something will happen.. maybe they’ll follow you around?
@Tara: All you have to do is keep buying furniture from Sophie - I think 5 pieces is enough to trigger the next step where she will ask you to design new furniture for her.
@Amy: maybe a decoration piece?
@Halo: yes, if you keep buying clothes from Tyler eventually he will ask you to design new clothes, but it’s really just tops and it’s too tiny to design anything good.
@Jodie: you can pick any head and any body from the stuff that Tracy has. exchange the points you got from “dowsing” for one head and one body (you need 300 points total) and go see the mayor once you have them.
@Ben: Martin appears after you get the fifth star.

go paragliding with tracey and get bronze with both marie and tracey and you will get some more bar fill by about half!

@bigbee: awesome thanks for the tip. the mountain is north of the forest, past Foster’s cabin.
@Courtney: he doesn’t ask you right after you buy out his whole stock. try going back the next day and talk to him. if he still tries to sell you something, just go along with it and he’ll tell you that his clothes are sold out. he’ll probably take the next day off and when he comes back, he will ask you to design some clothes for him.

@Nicole: I found out that sometimes she doesn’t like certain tops/bottoms no matter what color it is. Try a purple sweatshirt with black jeans. Or according to this website lailamania.com, a white polo shirt and black jeans also work.

I have met Martin in the entertainment area and have managed to get all 3 medals for skydiving on Easy level and now on normal level. Pretty sure there must be other areas to access but I am so stuck.
Elizabeth mentions an old windmill in the highlands that would look good better if built out of gold, what does this mean?
And Helen mentions her friend Rosayln in another town???
With the fashion review I found that Elizabeth likes tracksuits and the Resort Wear, it works for me, sometimes.
If anyone could help with progressing further than 5 stars it would be great, as I am totally stuck.
As for walkthroughs on the net, there are very few, I did manage to find this one, but it only takes you as far as level 4.

Well if you look at the whole map it looks like that’s it. I haven’t finished the whole game yet but it seems to me that, after you get your fifth star, your next goal is to get a star against each character. If you choose the “people” icon in the menu, it shows you a picture of each character and a bar next to it. The bar fills up as your “relationship” with that character progresses. I need to compile a list of characters and what their stories are. I’ve gotten a star on the cop, the highlands ranger and Elizabeth so far.

Thanks Trinity, I have now managed to get Elizabeth’s ’star’ rating complete thanks to your guide to the fashion review.
I was hoping Martin might be the link to moving on in the game. I have managed to get gold medals for all the levels in skydiving, but he has decided to stay on rather than leave.
I have only about 3 characters left to complete their star status so I am hoping that something else will happen.
Michal, I think if you hit the dogs while playing they slow you down or you lose points, so try not to hit them.

Bud-wizer, just click on the armor because Olivia is stuck inside.
Gretchen, try buying everything you can from all the vendors and winning a medal at all the minigames. Sometimes those give you star points too.

I actually have 5 characters to complete, Tim, Helen, Joespeh, Hawk and Tyler. I imagine that I have to obtain all medals for the raquetball to get Tim completed. Helen, I haven’t got a clue. Joeseph, i think there are a few fish i still have to catch. Hawk, i need to win more at Dodge the thief and as for Tyler, I have made and custom designed the clothes a few times over and brought all of his clothes from his shop, but he is not complete yet. I’ll let you know when I complete all the characters stars and see what happens.
Any tips for completing the raquetball to get the gold medals?

I only have all the gold medals on the first court. Working on the second court now, but I think I’m gonna have a problem with that rocky one in the mountains.
The strategy that worked for me on the first court was like this. Since the first game isn’t timed, you can use any racquet you’re comfy with. For Target 1, if you use the fast racquet you don’t have to worry too much about hitting the targets because you’ll get enough points just bouncing the ball back and forth enough times. For target 2, use the slow one because it bounces higher and hits the bullseye every time.

well, you can buy any type of statue, you can mix and match combos and ya… (examp: angel body+ dancer head, disco body+ friendly head) you can make any combos and then you will go to the mayor and talk with her. she will ask to take your head and body pieces that you wanna use for the town statue. and then, WALAH you get all of your stars done, unless you still have something else to do. =3 get it now? ((you sould really read the post above! they help!))

Tucker: The head and body won’t be called statue head or statue body. But there will be different types of heads and bodies, purchase two of your choosing. I went for the angel head and body.

Colin: the differn’t colored parts are for each part of the body so one arm can be green and the other one blue the back of the shirt black and the front yellow. try to see color goes on witch body part. (i want you to see yourself)

Has anyone gotten a star for Tim and Tyler? On Tim I finally got a gold metal for winning all the games at the mountains, highland and town and even got the announcement but NO STAR for Tim. On Tyler he keeps saying he’s still an apprentice but I have bought all his clothes and I’ve made all the designs. I thought maybe you had to wear every outfit that is displayed in the store and in the pink house so I did that but it didn’t work. I’ve gotten a star for everyone else that I can except Martin and Helen which I’m pretty sure I won’t get until after Tim’s star.

On dowsing you have to keep tapping really fast until the circles are brightest red (the exclamation mark does not always appear) and move your sim to that spot. You have to be in the exact spot the treasure is. It may take several circles around it but once you get it, you’ll hear a clink, thud or clock depending if you get money, ores or more time. To get a star for Emma/Hawk you have to win their games a few times. Then they will challenge you. Take them up on their challenge until you win and they will be impressed. Win some more on the new money level and they challenge you again. You have to win again and then you’ll get your star.
The trick to winning with Hawk is writing down the colors and the numbers that go with them. Then when you get that split second try to remember by colors the order of the cards. They are usually flipped in the exact order.

To feed the animals in the forest, you need to have some super feed on you. Talk to Foster and “Assist” him and give him a flower and fish. Then take the feed and tap or click on an animal. This gives you a tiny star boost.

pooja: you have to wait a while and if you get a gem from dowsing with tracy and go to oliva she might say something (NOT SPOILING) but you have to keep on trying and wait until she is ready to do the thing and then she’ll be happy to a star unless you missed something. or wait until she hids by herself if she hasn’t done it yet.

roxy, do dig up the gem’s just go to the mountain, speak to tracy and she’ll hire you a shovel for $50, start the activity and keep tappin the touch screen as u walk around, ull see little circles appear and as they move from blue to red circles, when it get really red keep tapping and u should it an ! symbol, tap on this, u then need to slide the stylus up and down to dig. u mite find a coin (gives money) a Stopwatch (gives extra time) or an ore (looks like a crystal, these r wat u need) blue or gives u high points, green gives u medium + red gives u lower points

(ran out of space) when ur digging time is up u can talk to tracy again and select REDEEM POINTS, u can then spend ur hard earned points on statue parts, e.g. head and body.
u can also buy gems in case.

Okay, those circles are your guide to the nearest “!”
When the circles are blue, it means that your are WAY far away from a “!”
When they are light blue, it means that you are getting closer to the “!”
When they are yellow, be sure to follow them, ’cause you are near.
When they are orange, keep following and they might turn red.
When they are red, they are a more high-pitched ticking noise at this point. When you find the “!,” hold your stylus on the screen, and drag it across, like what DJs do on turntables.

Meet Foster the forest ranger and help improve the forest area. You need to use all the five decoration options in order to get points here.
Buy at least 5 pieces of furniture from Sophie to trigger her shop’s advancement.
Meet Nicki the boat operator and take the boat to the Entertainment area.
Meet Elizabeth and buy her pet house, if you have the money. Note that you don’t have to buy the house to get the points but hey, what self respecting Sim doesn’t want a mansion, especially if it’s a bargain?
Help Marie the ranger improve the highlands area some more.
Play the Target 1 racquetball game until Tim opens up the Target 2 game.
Make 5 small leis and Ashley will ask you to start making regular leis.
Make 5 regular leis and Ashley will ask you to start making large leis.
Visit Sophie the next day and buy her new furniture. I believe the magic number is 5.
Visit Sophie again the next day and she will ask you to make a design for your furniture.
STAR LEVEL 4: The boat can be taken to the Entertainment Area and more new places are opening up. The only place still closed is the mountain…

Ellie - In Tracy’s list it doesn’t actually say ’statue head’ or ’statue body’. It just says ‘——- Head’ eg. ‘Dancer head’.

josh in order to unlock scuba diving, u have to travel to the entertainment area a hundred times. And no night time does NOT count. Once u travel a hu8ndred times nicki will tell u u unlocked the game.

these are cheats and shortcuts for the DS vesion of the game
when you first enter the casion, use $100 to buy 10 coins
then, play tick tack trump with emma, and bet 6 coins(dont double bet!).
then lose. play again and still bet six(it will show six as you bet)
then get 1 bingo and your coins will be 999999
then buy heaps of “video game company”s
the next day sell them to olivia. every time you need money buy more company’s and you’ll never be poor again
and i used a cheat to win the casino “dodge the thief”
then match as many as you can.
as the card come on the screen, film them with a camera and you will see what order they are in
i know it is hard to tell which is the thief but it makes it easier

there is actually three fishing rods. normal, stiff, and flexible. the easiest way to get money is go fishing. another way to get stars is to talk to the torists. I think if you talk to them, quit, and keep doing that tell they ask you to do a favor for them this will work. when they ask you to do a favor go do it and then go back and talk to them. your star level will go up a little bit. not a whole lot, but anything helps. oh! and you need to get as much cake as you can to finish nikkis story. foster and tracey are the hardest. you also need to go to the casino a lot. don’t sleep much. thats most of what i know besides the notes.

Please help. I bought this New Swan Stone Castle from the casino. It’s in the “?” section in my furniture files. However it won’t go in my room. I try and hit the check mark and it makes the rejection noise. It wont even let me choose where to put it! Its not a full sized castle, just a model. Where should i put it? Hannah- go dowsing for points at the mountain. the mountain ranger will allow you to buy stuff with your points you earn. get a statue body and head, go to Helen, and give her the statue parts. This should amke her happy. Try the friendly head and the angel body. It worked for me.

To find out where the Fashion Review is, you go to the Entertainment area, and on the corner there is a sign. It says where, but it is always in the afternoon. Just find Elizabeth and talk to her after that.

Pease help!!!!! I have been at star level 5 for a LONG time and have everybody’s stars except for 4. Tim, Tracey and Martin are about three-quarters of the way to being full, and I assume you have to keep playing their games, but the problem is, I SUCK at those 3 games! The best I can do is a bronze medal in skydiving, a bronze medal in paragliding, and a bronze medal in Racquetball Target 2 (I can’t even get a bronze medal in the other two racquetballs!) Can anybody tell me if there is a way to get stars for these 3 without getting silver and gold medals, cause I’m pretty sure that is never going to happen for me! And I assume I will get Helen’s star when everybody else has their stars???? And one more question, does the disco have any purpose, or is that just a way to throw away $500??! THANKS for any and all help!

Tic Tac Trump should be played at the maximum and i think its 50 and play with double bets all the time. Tracy too, i always go paragliding and dowsing. I am almost done with Martin.

Nicole,it depends on the area. Priya, to finish Hawk just keep playing. It goes faster if you bet a lot and win. Save before betting so if you lose, just don’t save.

Cal: the flexible rod is for feshwater fish. So catch a lot of Freshwater fish so Joesph thik you are ready for it. To get stiff, catch salt water. when he thanks you have casught enough of each type, he gives you amusing rod. It is the mother of all rods!!!
Nicole: Here are the GIRL fashion shows. If you have a GUY file I can help with only a few areas. Also, just because you have several items of the same color, like a blue skirt, and a blue PLEATED skirt, make sure you have a BLUE skirt. names are important.
Town: Black T-shirt, Blue skirt
Highlands: Purple JPN shirt, black pleated skirt
Forest: Green camisole,Yellow pleated skirt[looks orange]
Mountains: Orange camisole, Green sm. flowered skirt

In the dowsing game if u get 100 points & redeem them for a jewel (diamond, garnet, opal, etc.) go to Olivia & she’ll make it into a ring!!! It’s beautimus!!!

For whatever reason I just can’t get a gold star from Helen or Tim. I have gotten 5 stars in the game, I have every gold star from everybody else except those 2, I got the candy raquet, I made a statue, and yet Tim and Helen are still not happy enough.
What could I possibly have missed? Are you supposed to buy every item from the casino and the mountain to get their gold stars? Because that’s the only thing I can think that I haven’t completed yet. I have even gotten every bronze, silver and gold statue from every sport in the game, including Skydiving and Scuba diving. So I’m at a loss with what I could be missing.

@Amber: Well, it happened to my sister too. Have you done EVERYTHING? I mean even stuff from the third level too? Because the game gives alot of points, actually even more then you need to star up! xD try finshing up some unfinished business.
@Danika: Well have you got to the fifth star? and uhh… you have to talk to her, and you have to calm her, and she’ll say you owe her she’ll give you a shovel and ininite time to dig up a ore. Afterwards she’ll say it’s worthful and that it’ll be a good idea if you keep doing it. now to the part you were reading for, after your first dowes she’ allow you to dowes for points and when you get enough you can redeem prizes with the points, you need at least 300 points to get a head and a body, 150 for the had 150 for the body. You can redeem the prizes when you talk to her. or after your first dowes, the one you dowes for her.
@Madzi: You should be able to because I don’t think you can just mess it up like that. It should be there.
@Ciana: Well martin is going to give you a new sport called skydiving in order to buy some feul for his plane. just give him some time to fix his plane. I think it’s 3 to 5 days.
@Elise:
#1. sorry but you can’t build in this one, you can only build in MySims for Wii.
#2. For the mountains you have to get star level 4, on Trinity’s guide up there it says to get star level five you must “Meet Tracy the mountain ranger” and at that time the gate is open. You will also know when you talk to Helen, she’ll ask you to go meet Tracy.
#3. The “Pet House” is actually a Mansion so it’s 3 houses in one plus a pool and a security system xD.
@Sarah: Sorry sarah but I don’t know anything about the girls fasion show only about the guys. That is a question for Trinity.

Amber, you need to buy the statue parts before she says anything. Yes, there will be Martin, Tracy, and Hawk still to meet. Plus, you still need to get a candy racket. Keep playing!

@Alex: To find money/ore, you must walk/run and tap the screen continuously until it shows a red dripple surrounds your stylis. Then go close to the red spot and tap until you put down your shovel. Drag your stylis to dig, I recommend moving it NorthWest from your shovel up

For all you guys/girls out there that is on Star 5 you can buy alot of stuff from Olivia, Ashley, Sohpie, and Tyler. Approximately a total ammount of 150,000 Sim Currency. Keep trying!! and for all you photographers on MySims ScubaDiving… Best choice ever! My sister made 50,000 in one hour from ScubaDiving… Do hard ScubaDiving. Take some pictures at the beginning and save at least 3 shots for your money maker! xD
At the uphill rise look behind you not at the rock, but at the passing by manta ray behind you. It will show about 30 degrees above your default sight (looking straight) take center shots of his underbelly (worth 200+ points each shot, every point is worth 5 points a… point xD so take good, quality shots!)

And to get the last 2 Characters go to the casino on Entertainment Island at night and talk to Hawk and Emma Hawk Hosts the “Catch the Theif” game Emma Hosts the “Tic Tac Toe Trump” game but Exactly 21 I recommend very much!

yea, i’ve got everyone’s stars except; tim, helen, tyler, joseph, and martin. my problem, however, is that martin for some reason will not open up the normal lvl difficulty on skydiving!! i’ve got a silver in the easy lvl, and at night when he’s in the casino/wandering about the ent. area, if i talk to him he’ll ask if i’m going to try out the new level (something like that anyhoo) but it never shows up. i’m running out of ideas.
and with tyler… i’m supposed to win a fashion review with a design i made…? hasn’t been working out too well so far. does it have to be the color the area would normally accept? does it need to fabulous looking? any clues…??

@bakeddonut, yes. it needs to look fab. also, it has to be in the town. my advice: just color the whole shirt red and then add stars the color of your choice, ad multicolor lines. it works for me!

I have some questions about My sims, by the way thx trinity because your guide got me to star 5 all the way!
1.For the fashion show how do you get those masks? I’ve tried the colour scheme but what are the exact clothes? She says I look good as a sandwich board.
2. What is the amusing fishing rod good for?
3.How do you get a star for Tim, Helen , Nicki , Tyler , Charlie, Joseph and Martin? They are hard. Can you write a guide to get stars for everyone?
4. Can you get any more raquets after 5th star?
5. What are the rarest fish? Do you have to catch them all to get a star for joseph?
Please answer my questions and by the way:
To get rare items, go to the casino, tracy, or sometimes Olivia or get them out of fish, while fishing or from sparkles
To catch an Alligator go to Mountains at night. Really easy to catch, but rare. Olivis pays 700 for it.
To get rare ocean fish do it on the end of the pier with houses on.

Joy: To do dowsing (thats what its called) what you do is just tap in random places untill it goes from dark blue to red. If it gets lighter blue keep tapping around it and it may go light yellow, deep yellow, orange red, deep red then keep tapping around and an ‘!’ sign will come up. To get a star for nicki:
1. Take the boat alot and unlock scuba diving
2. Kepp doing scuba diving untill she gets unhappy and the boat is broke or something
3. Give her cake 4/5/6 times and you get a star for her
For Elizebeth:
Complete all the fashion reviews in different places and at 1 point she will bury loads of money in the mountains.
Once have every mask you get her star. Jaeclyn’s guide works for fashion reveiws. It’s on the fashion review thing by trinity.
For Olivia:
Buy all her stuff and find her each time she hides
For Tracy:
Just dig/paraglide alot. You don’t need to get medals
For Marie:
Keep customizing the forest and cheer her up when she gets sad and she makes up with her dad in the end. Aw.
For foster:
Same sort of thing as marie: keep customizing and make animal feed (and feed it to the animals!) In the end he gets happy.
For helen:
Buy all her flowers and makes loads of lei’s. Unlock all the levels of lei making but you don’t need medals. I didn’t think I’d crack her because I did just this but you have to wait and charlie told me she seemed happy after a few sim days when I bought his cakes and I talked to her in her shop and you get a star for her.
Charlie:
Keep buying his cakes and once he makes a chinese cake talk to him and you get a star for him.
Ewan:
Keep talking to him and at the start take his pictures for him. As you get more tourists, his happy bar goes up and in the end he gets in a mood and every sim day go to his house and give him a pressie. Afetr a few days you get a star for him.
If I remember any more I’ve completed I’ll tell you but does anyone know how to get a full happy bar for: Joseph, Tyler,Emma, Hawk and Martin. If you know, please tell me because I helped you!

Just something everyone should know. If you play the game thru more than once you will see that the game is a little different. So what works one time might not work the next. The tips are great but do not be upset if does not work. Just keep trying and you will get it.

In the morning she is asleep and mumbles “Store…name…” but that is all she says. When I come back when she is awake, all she says is, “What, you wanna buy something?” How do I help her name her store? I’m so confused.

While Sophie is sleeping, you have to keep on talking to her until the thing comes up and it tells you to name the store.

Joseph is in the Port area. From town, go to the big road at the west (left). Go down here into the next section - this is the port. There are 2 little huts built over the water which don’t have anyone living in them, then just above the little table & chairs there’s a house. Go in there, you should find Joseph.

Couple of days. Either sleep through it, or practise racketball for a bit! ;o) I now have everyone’s stars except Tim (haven’t yet got gold for T2 on mountains or highlands), Helen, or Martin (rubbish at Skydiving - can’t even get bronze on normal level let alone anything better than that!). Still don’t know what to do to get Helen’s star, and it’s driving me mad!

well go to the port and then abord that boat and Nicki will say, ” would u like to aboard for $50?” you say yes then you wait until it is night time (in the game) and then when it is go to the build in between the building Hawk and Emma, ( they are only there at night) and the abandded airport. ERIN, You can only use a super feed once if you want to feed another animal you need another fish and flower then go to the forest. Hope this helps.

LILACP, hi ok if you buy anough of her stock she will get more ( which is what your problem is ) which means she has to leave to get it for a day but she will be back tomorrow. Also to dig you need the stylist or anything to tap the screen with I sometimes use my fingers if I have nothing. Anyway to dig you first run to a spot tap the screen and a colored circle will come up it is kindof like dark blue you are getting farther away from the treasure but hot red means the treasure is really close. Finally when an yellow exalamation point comes up press A. HOPE THIS HELPS

Hi Sarah,
There’s a list in post 681 for how to get stars for Elizabeth, Olivia, Tracy, Foster (don’t think it says this, but you need to use at least 1 of each of the items to customise the forest; doesn’t seem to work if you only use natural things!), Marie, Ashley, Charlie, and Ewan.
For Joseph, give him 5 of each of the 18 kinds of fish (10 freshwater, 8 sea).
Tyler - pass one of Elizabeth’s fashion reviews by wearing something that you made. (Easiest is make a red top and wear it with black trousers/skirt in the town!)
Hawk - keep playing his game in the casino. Eventually he will challenge you to a game for 30 tokens, and if you pass that challenge and keep playing, he’ll challenge you again for 50 tokens. Win this and you’ll get his star. Once he’s issued the challenge, you can choose if/when you want to play challenge, or just the normal game.
Ewan - at some point he will have a crisis of confidence and decide he’s not worthy to look after the people of the town. Give him cakes at every opportunity (may be daily or you may be able to more often, I can’t remember now) and eventually he’ll decide he can do it after all, and voila you have your star.
Martin (one of the 3 I haven’t got!) I believe you have to get medals in the Skydiving game - Easy level: gold medal, Normal level: silver medal, Hard level: bronze medal. Don’t think I’ll ever get this, as it took me forever just to get onto the normal level and I can only get about half the points there that I’d need even for a bronze. Ah well!

Oh, and Helen and Tim - general consensus is that you get these two once you’ve got everyone else’s. To get Tim’s you also need to have got the candy racket. It’s useless but silly & fun, and you get it by playing lots and lots and lots of racketball and talking to him!
That’s what’s annoying me about being so rubbish at skydiving. If I could get that sorted I’d get the remaining 3 stars as far as I can tell, and I’d be finished with it!

And more (just for the sake of completeness):
Nikki (is it a boy or a girL?!?) - after the scuba diving is unlocked, at some point (s)he’ll say (s)he’s not doing it any more because of an accident. Give cake. Lots of cake. And some more. Until (s)he says she’s had enough. After that, his/her confidence is back, scuba diving is on again, and you have a star.
Sophie - keep on buying things, design & make furniture when that’s offered. Eventually she’ll decide that sleeping isn’t good for business, and say that she’s going to sleep for a few days. Leave her to it, go back a few days later, and talk to her (I think you have to wake her to talk, but can’t remember). I’m trying to remember if she decides after that that actually she’ll sleep when she wants, or if that’s it. Sorry… Basically keep buying & talking. It’ll happen if you just do that enough.

@ Amanda, the statue parts are the things like ‘friendly head’ ‘angel body’ that are in the list of things you can buy with your points (under the gemstones - scroll down). It shows you there how many points each bit costs. When you’ve bought them, go talk to Helen and she’ll do the rest.

Yes! You can still get the house. You see, first you have to have 10,000 dollars, you know that right? If you need help getting money, just ask me i have a wonderful cheat that really works to get you hundreds of thousands of dollars! Anyway, you can always find out where Elizibeth is, by looking through the people you know on that one chart thing if you press the x button, then clicking on the people sign. Hopefully this isn’t confusing. Then once it says “She’s in the entertainment area!” Go there, and go talk to her. Once you talk to her, an icon will pop up saying “Buy Pet House” or something. Click on that, and she will offer the pet house again, buy the house and her happy meter increases, along with your star meter. Hope this helps!

Okay i am on star level 5 and Martin has fixed his plane. It takes at least 3 days for him to get it fixed. I had easy, normal and hard in his sky diving mini game (so he can get fuel and leave the island) but my file got deleted and now im stuck on easy and all he says is oh where oh where are the customers and im getting so annoyed by that! oh and thanks, now i know that when i have a star on each character, it means their story is over! How do you finish Elizabeth’s story or Hawk or Emma??? I thought the star meant that i became best of friends with them or something! cb is right you have to get tyler creation to pass review i went to tyler shop and made a red shirt that is for the town review just a plain red shirt i put on blue roll up pants and she pass me in the fashion review i then went to tyler he became my friend i had already stars by everyone else so tim and helen gave me a star to bad the other gate did not open i do wonder what is in their i guess i will not find out in this game? so trinity was right all alone you must make all the shop keeper happy to get helen’s and tim’s stars
